Jiaping Lin Group's New Research Published in Scientific Reports

A recent work entitled "Hierarchical nanostructures self-assembled from a mixture system containing rod-coil block copolymers and rigid homopolymers" was published in Scientific Reports by Lin’s Group (Sci. Rep. 2015, 5, 10137). The authors are Yongliang Li, Jiaping Lin, ChunhuaCai, and Shaoliang Lin. The work was supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China. Scientific Reports is an online open access scientific journal published by the Nature Publishing Group, covering all areas of the natural sciences.


Helical structures are ubiquitous in nature. Because the helical structures are associated with lots of biological phenomena, study on the helical structures are of great significance. Lin’s Group combined the simulation and experimental methods to reveal the structures and the formation mechanisms of the helical superstructures self-assembled from the blends of rod-coil copolymers and rod homopolymers. This is a continuum of their work published in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2013, 52, 7732.


Since 2014, progress has been made by Lin’s Group towards the research and academic impact. Lin’s Group have published a series of work in Macromolecules, ACS Macro Lett., Adv. Healthc. Mater., and so on. For example, Shaoliang Lin et al. reported the directional photomanipulation of breath figure arrays formed by azobenzene-containing block copolymers (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2014, 53, 12116), and ChunhuaCaiet al. written a comment for Nature Chem. regarding the self-assembly of polymers (Nature Chem.2014, 6, 857). 2014, Jiaping Lin has become the member of editorial board of Macromolecules, J. Mater.Chem. A, and ACS Macro Lett.
